The Colonel Jonathan Bayard Smith Chapter, NSDAR, is dedicated to promoting Constitution Week, commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. We actively collaborate with the Middletown City School District to provide engaging presentations and educational resources for teachers, helping students understand the significance of this historic milestone. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire appreciation for the Constitution’s enduring principles and encourage civic responsibility in our community. Join us in celebrating and educating others about this pivotal moment in American history!
For the month of September 2025, the Colonel Jonathan Bayard Smith Chapter, NSDAR, provided a display at the MidPoint Library in Middletown, Ohio, in celebration of the anniversary of the signing of the Constituion. Also included are panels about the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the Bill of Rights.
