How to Become a Member

DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all our members have an ancestor who contributed to the Revolutionary War. Patriot ancestors were soldiers, privateers, businessmen, and others who contributed to the independence effort. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join. For those interested in joining the DAR, feel free to contact our registrar for help on getting started or to answer any questions you have about our group.

You can also complete the Membership Interest Form in the Become a Member section at www.dar.org.  You can specify that you are interested in joining the Colonel Jonathan Bayard Smith Chapter, NSDAR.
